Chesaning completes the sweep by defeating New Lothrop 11-1 in Game 2. Chesaning took the early lead scoring 2 runs in the second inning. New Lothrop then closed the gap to 2-1 scoring a run in the top of the 3rd inning. The Indians responded by scoring a run in the bottom of the 3rd inning to make the score 3-1. Chesaning then exploded for 8 runs in the bottom of the 5th inning to end the game in a 5 inning mercy rule victory. Nash Wendling earned the win for the Indians by pitching all 5 innings for Chesaning. Wendling gave up 3 hits, 1 unearned run while striking out 3 batters. Wendling’s record improves to 2-0.
